Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 – we are loving it!

Khuda Aur Muhabbat has been in the news since its teaser came out so it was no surprise that the drama is being touted as the next big thing on our TV screens. But is it living up to our expectations? Fatima Humayun says yes. Read on to find out more.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 is the third installment of the adaptation of Hashim Nadeem’s novel by the same name but this season will not have any links with the former ones. An Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi production, and directed by the talented Wajahat Hussain who have been giving us back to back hits with Raz e Ulfat and Fitoor, this blockbuster written all over it.

After much awaited and numerous teasers, the show finally went on air on 12th February on Geo TV. The serial depicts a fierce love story with Iqra Aziz and Feroze Khan in the main roles. The story is an ideal blend of romance and spiritualism. Combined with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s profound voice out of sight, the show sets the bar high for the sentimental misfortune that’s yet to unfold. It is yet to be seen how Farhad and Mahi will change from youthful and lighthearted spirits to the ones they are destined to grow into. But what’s certain is that the doomed lovers will battle for their love and devotion till the end. We are presently wondering whether predetermination will work in support of themselves and unite them, or then again maybe, the limitations of class discrimination and cultural pressing factors will split them up.

Up till now the story has been gripping, starting off with a lighter note. All the actors are brilliant, and the fast-paced episodes are really working in favour of the drama.

The serial is clearly resonating, as it is hitting the highest TRP ratings and gaining unprecedented views on YouTube with all three episodes trending on no. 1, 2 & 3.

As the story picks up steam from week to week, we know we are here for it – watching these characters embark on the journey of self-discovery.

So catch up on the episodes if you still haven’t check out the drama – you won’t regret it.
